سینمایی Cats، قبیله ای از گربه ها به نام Jellicles هستند و هر سال باید تصمیم بگیرند که چه کسی قرار است عروج کند و به Heaviside Layer برود وبعد از آن هم به یک زندگی جدید Jellicle باز گردد. جالب است بدانید که ادریس البا در دومین فیلم خود نقش گربه را ایفا میکند و اولین بار در فیلم کتاب جنگل 2016 در نقش ببری به نام شیرخان ظاهر شد.
این فیلم در تاریخ 16دسامبر 2019(25آذر 1398) در سالن نمایش مخصوص تاتر(تالار الیس تالی ) برای اولین بار به نمایش درآمد و تا به امروز امتیاز 32 را از بین 47 منتقد (متوسط رو به پایین) بدست آورد که در سایت متاکریتک و راتن تومیتوز قرار گرفته و نتوانست امتیاز مطلوب و خوبی از این منتقدان بگیرد .
منتقدان از موشن کپچری وCGI طرح و لحن عجیب و غریب ، فیلمنامه، ایفای نقش بازگران وهمچنین عدم انسجام تن که دراین فیلم بود انتقاد کرده اند.
فیلم سینمایی گربه ها در سال 2020 برنده بدترین فیلم سال شد و تمشک طلایی را از آن خود کرد و 6 جایزه تاسف بار به نام خود رقم زد:

شاید بهتر بود این فیلم هرگز از صحنه تئاتر پا به سینما نمی گذاشت زیرا در تئاتر یک شاهکار و در سینما به یک مصیبت تبدیل شد و لقب بدترین فیلم دهه و آشغال و مزخرف را به خود اختصاص داد.
فیلمی پر خرج که حتی نتوانست هزینه ساختش را درآورد، این یک فلاکت برای کمپانی یونیورسال بود.
فیلمی که شما را در همان دقایق اولیه خسته میکند و بیشتر از سی دقیقه نمیتوانید بنشیند و تا به آخر آنرا تماشا کنید . اگر بخواهیم دیالوگ موزیکال را حذف کنیم حداکثر کل مکالمات 10 دقیقه نمیشوند.
و این فیلم براستی برای انگلیسی زبانان ساخته شده و بوی فیلم های دهه 70 میدهد .
اگر مخاطبان را گروه سنی جوانان و بزرگسالان در نظر بگیریم این گربه های انسان نما و خسته کننده با نمایشی دخترانه پسند با بازی بالرینها و رقص و آواز خسته کننده تئاتری آمیخته با نمایش سیرک را تداعی میکند که در همان نیم ساعت اول به دنبال راهی برای فرار هستید، متوجه میشوید تا دقایق آخر فیلم شخصیتهای جدید برای معرفی وارد سن میشوند و قبلی ها هم با یک حرکت غیب میشوند و در آخر باز میگردند و پایان شاهد یک تراژدی احمقانه هستید که گربه ای را قربانی سالیانه خود در رسوم قدیمی شان میکنند واو را به دست سرنوشتی نامعلوم میسپارند ، آواز سر میدهند و انتظار حمایت انسانها را دارند.
تایم طولانی فیلم تماشای این اثر را برای کودکان عجیب و غریب وغیر قابل تحمل ساخته مخصوصا اگر زیر نویس باشد.
بازیگران با لباس های خز مشغول مهمانی در آشغال دانی هستند و زنان گربه ای اغواگر و مردان خبیث گربه نما گاهی به صحنه سرک میکشند ... اگر خوش بین باشید نگاه فمینیستی را از این فیلم خط بزنید دیدگاه مذهبی را نمیتوانیم نادیده بگیریم.
درباره کارگردان:
تام هوپر دومین فیلم بلند خود را به صحنه فرستاد او گرفتار خوش رقصی و پر حرفی بازیگران خود شد و به دنبال تحقق رویای جوانی خود رفت و فراموش کرد که بینندگان او را قضاوت میکنند .
Les Miserables-2012 اثر دیگر بلند اوست و سریال نیروی اهریمنی His Dark Materials و دختر دانمارکی The Danish Girl و بینوایان Les Miserables و ....
نکات مثبت فیلم:
مناسب خانواده و کودکان است زیرا خالی از صحنه های نگران کننده مبتذل و خشن است و میتوانید با خیالی راحت تماشا کنید.
این فیلم با وجود لباس های چسبان بازیگران هیچ برهنگی و مرجع جنسی وجوک های نا متعارف نمی بینید یا سوء استفاده های جسمی یا کلامی بین افراد وجود ندارد و در جهت حمایت از حیوانات (گربه ها) ساخته شده است.
افراد هنرمند و با استعداد زیادی در این فیلم ایفای نقش کرده اند تا دیدگاه و خواسته هوپر را با موفقیت به واقعیت تبدیل کنند .
جلوه های بصری، ارزش های تولید، انتخاب بازیگران، موسیقی متن و همچنین اجراهای موزیکالی تحسین برانگیز بودند.
نامزد دریافت گلدن گلوب Golden Globes 2020 (موزیک) بهترین آهنگ اصلی در یک تصویر متحرک شد و( 11 برد دیگر و 5 نامزدی دیگر) لازم بذکر است توانست رتبه 70 را در فهرست بهترین آثار سینمایی سال 2019 کسب کند.

Cats Cinema is a tribe of cats called Jellicles, and each year they have to decide who is going to climb and go to Heaviside Layer and then return to a new Jellicle life. About the director:

Positive points of the movie:
It is suitable for families and children because it is free of worrying vulgar and violent scenes and you can watch it safely.

A lot of talented artists have played a role in this film in order to successfully turn Hooper's point of view into reality.
Visual effects, production values, cast selection, soundtrack as well as musical performances were admirable.
The Golden Globes 2020 nominee (Music) was nominated for Best Original Song in a Moving Image and (11 more wins and 5 other nominations) to be ranked 70th on the 2019 Best Picture list.
